FUN FACT: when I was a kid I was kicked out of my gymnastics club for being too inflexible. Fast forward to now and I’m more flexible than I’ve ever been!
These are the stretches I do for more flexible legs and to achieve side, middle and vertical splits.
I find it’s best to stretch when your muscles are nice and warm after a workout or a little warm up. Heat relaxes your muscles and allows you get deeper into a stretch.
P.s NEVER force yourself into positions/stretches. I spent years trying to do that at gymnastics and ballet and it didn’t work. Yoga, gentle daily stretches and respecting your body is the way to go.
